Bedmart Charity Involvement
We supported the October Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure in Phoenix and will support the race on April 6th in Tucson. We give everyone a very special possibility – they can “sleep in” for a cure. By donating through Bedmart, they can skip the race and still support the cause. In Phoenix, we were able to raise additional money for the organization by donating a luxury bed for them to raffle.
We are also an active supporter of the Crisis Nursery in Phoenix. We think they do invaluable work and we have supported them both with donations and by publicizing their needs. That’s something we offer charities on a very regular basis – we are happy to give a portion of our advertising space to a charity that needs to reach the public.
We are also the proud sponsor of 12 Who Care on Channel 12. Our involvement with the program helps make it possible – but we don’t stop there. We try to give each charity additional help. For example, we just donated 10 Simmons mattress sets to Save the Family Foundation of Arizona. It’s a local charity that is doing excellent work transitioning homeless families to emotionally stable and economically self-sufficient members of society. We want to help them make a difference for our community.
Our charity programs are statewide. We are a longtime supporter of the MDA in both Tucson and Phoenix. In Tucson, we have extended our support to Casa de los Ninos, their local crisis nursery, and have led a drive to give phone cards to our overseas troops for a number of years.
On a regular basis, we contribute beds to many different organizations who ask for our help. We have just recently started our own charity effort “Bedmart Cares” which gives the public the opportunity to tell us about a needy family they know and let us help them. We think this is a very valuable effort as it reaches families directly. Whether a family just needs enough beds to give every member a good night’s rest – or if they need a special bed for medical reasons such as an adjustable bed, we are helping a family each month in both Phoenix and Tucson.
We are an Arizona company and have grown because of the support of our customers. We want to give back to the communities where we work and live.
