Bedmart CEO Chuck Kill is Named to Western Home Furnishing Board of Directors
The WHFA provides home furnishing retailers with services, educational tools and expertise to develop home furnishing businesses in the 12 Western States, including Alaska and Hawaii. It was established in 1944 and is the western affiliate for the National Home Furnishings Association.
“The WHFA is a source for ready-to-use information that helps its retailers grow their businesses,” Kill continued. “All information is researched by the WHFA staff before being made available and includes every facet of running a home furnishing business, from insurance and finances to human resources and operations.”
Bedmart started as a single store in 1988. It has grown to 27 locations throughout Arizona. “Bedmart made a successful transition from being a local store to competing in one of the Nation’s biggest and most competitive retail markets, the Phoenix metropolitan area. We have relied on the resources available to WHFA and we are proud to, now, be able to share our success story to help others,” Kill concluded.
Bedmart was started in Tucson in 1988 by Chet Goldberg, who was following a long-standing family tradition. His family has been doing business in Arizona since 1862 when his great-grandfather opened a general store in the Phoenix area.
