Bedmart COO visits Sonora Living
Bedmart COO Doug Hale Makes Television Appearance
Phoenix, AZ - Doug Hale, Chief Operating Officer of Arizona’s largest bedding firm, Bedmart, was invited to appear on ABC Ch. 15 in Phoenix and had the opportunity to tell listeners some of the things every bedding executive would like to say.
The first question Doug fielded on the local show, Sonoran Living, was how often a consumer should purchase a new mattress. He told viewers that once you were inside the 7 to 10 year range, your mattress probably had some wear that was affecting the quality of your sleep. He went on to talk about how much mattress construction has changed in that time period.
Doug made a strong appeal to get potential buyers into a bedding store based on today’s technology. He talked about everything from how beds are constructed from the bottom up to the Visco and Latex foam beds. “It was a great opportunity to tell the public that if they haven’t been in a bedding store in the past decade, they have missed some great advances in sleep technology,” Hale said. “We now talk about comfort layers. We talk about memory foam. We talk about anti-microbial materials. This is all new to the buyer who has been out of the market.” Doug even had the opportunity to explain that an adjustable bed wasn’t something for a hospital, but a bed that fits into today’s busy take-your-laptop-to-bed lifestyles and offers health advantages for circulation and comfort.
Doug concluded his television segment by talking about the Bedmart Cares program that donates beds to families in need every month of the year. “Bedmart started with a single store in Tucson, Arizona. Now we are a statewide firm with almost 30 locations. We owe our growth to the people of Arizona and we want to make sure we’re a good neighbor who gives back to the community,” he concluded.
