Ward III Bedmart was Start of Chain

First there was one – but when the Ward III Bedmart store opened its doors almost two decades ago, it was the start of something big!  It was the second Bedmart store and the beginning of a success story that has taken a single, locally-owned store and turned it into a statewide success!
   
Today, there are 25 Bedmart stores in Arizona.  “We give customers a better selection and the lowest price.  When we say that we mean it; every sale is backed by our low price guarantee.  When you’re working in your own city and state, you’re customer is your neighbor,” said Chet Goldberg, owner.  “That means you treat them right.”
   
The emphasis on making every Bedmart customer completely satisfied is what fueled the company’s growth according to Goldberg.  “We put the emphasis where it belongs – on the customer.  We give them a big selection so they can truly do one-stop shopping.  We carry great brands, the names consumers know, trust and want.  And, we make sure that every one of our sales associates are not only fully trained, but that they understand how to listen to a customer and help them select the best mattress for their needs,” he continued.

“Today’s customers must choose from a large variety of mattresses.  There are mattresses built from the bottom up that never need to be turned.  There are Viscoelastic or memory foam mattresses, latex mattresses, pillow-top mattresses and so many more that buying a mattress can be a difficult choice,” Goldberg continued.  “It’s important that our sales associates can guide the buyer through the process to help them find the mattress that is best for them.”
   
Bedmart also works behind the scenes to make sure that they are delivering the very best value.  “We know how to work with factories so that we get the best possible prices.  Whether it’s in arranging large production runs or the way we order and conduct our business, we treat them as our partners.  We pay our bills as fast as the goods come in, which helps the factories with their cash flow and anything we do for the factories benefits us by helping us get better prices for our customers,” Goldberg explained.
   
“Selection, service and offering the best prices are foundation of our business.  As we’ve grown, we’re made sure that we maintain these values in every new Bedmart store,” Goldberg said.  It is a model that has worked well for the chain, helping them make the move from a local business to a statewide business – and, who knows, where they’ll grow next.
   
Our goal is to serve every customer better than anyone else,” Goldberg continued.  “When we say ‘before you go to bed, go to Bedmart,’ we’re saying we honestly believe that we will give each customer the best value, the best service and the best night’s rest.”
